Get InvolvedEquipping K-12 staff and high school students with the financial knowledge they need to thrive — aligned with Wisconsin Act 60, DPI standards, and NextGen Personal Finance standards.
ELEVATE Wisconsin is a public-private collaboration working with the Governor's Council on Financial Literacy to provide free financial education resources to K-12 staff and students across the state. Our platform covers 14 essential personal finance topics including budgeting, credit, taxes, investments, insurance, retirement, and more — all mapped to NextGen Personal Finance standards.
With Wisconsin Act 60 requiring personal finance credits for high school graduation beginning in 2025, ELEVATE Wisconsin provides the curriculum, tools, and teacher training to help every school district meet and exceed these standards. Teachers from subjects including Personal Finance, Economics/Consumer Science, and Business are using ELEVATE to enrich their classrooms.
Our Cohort 1 teacher training accepted 26 teachers from across the state, with 24 remaining active and 17 completing all full certification requirements. Notably, 68% of participating teachers come from rural and tribal communities — three times the typical concentration — ensuring the program reaches those who need it most.
ELEVATE Wisconsin serves both educators and students across the K-12 system
68% from rural & tribal communities · 32% urban/suburban · 9 additional teachers on waitlist from 5 more districts

ELEVATE Wisconsin's partnership with the Ho-Chunk Nation represents one of the program's most impactful collaborations. Through a dedicated financial literacy initiative, the Ho-Chunk Nation has enrolled over 1,200 youth and reached approximately 1,000 family members.
Students achieved a remarkable 53% improvement in financial literacy scores, and 95% or more plan to take positive financial actions. Over 200 youth participated in the "Good Life" financial wellness event, and 87% plan to use the resources again.
This groundbreaking work earned the Ho-Chunk Nation the prestigious Governor's Financial Literacy Award — a testament to the power of culturally relevant financial education.
